ABOUT HAN STRIDE RUNNING TOUR
The story of HanStride began when three people — brothers Eunho and Dongho, and Myeongpil — got to know each other through cycling. Eunho worked as a youth counselor, Dongho was active as a b-boy, and Myeongpil,
who would later become our running mentor, ran a café providing great coffee to his patrons.
A few years ago, by chance, we started running and it brought us closer than ever before. Running allowed us to share the unique perspectives and lives we came from, and helped us discover hidden charms of Seoul that we couldn‘t perceive while cycling. This profound change in our lives sparked a desire to share our experienc of running with more people.
The shared experiences of the brothers and our mentor fueled the creation of HanStride. We want to share the transformative story of our running through the streets of Seoul. HanStride is more than just a running club or a tour; it’s a platform where everyone’s stories come together, creating new discoveries and experiences. Come run with us and share your own story right here in Seoul.
- HanStride combines the concept of ’stride‘ from running with the cultural identity of Korea (Han),
embodying a journey through the beautiful streets of Seoul, experiencing its culture with every step. -
‘한스트라이드’의 이야기는 서로 다른 길을 걷던 세 사람 ㅡ친형제인 은호와 동호, 명필ㅡ이 자전거를 통해 서로를 알게 되면서 시작 되었습니다.
은호는 청소년지도사로 동호는 b-boy로 활동해왔고, 훗날 우리 형제의 러닝 사부님이 되어주신
명필형님은 카페를 운영하며 사람들에게 훌륭한 커피를 제공하고 계셨죠.
우리는 몇 년 전, 우연한 계기로 러닝을 시작하게 되었고, 함께 달리며 서로를 더 깊게 이해하게 되었습니다. 러닝은 우리에게 각자의 배경에서 온 독특한 시각과 삶을 공유할 수 있게 해 주었고, 자전거 위에서는 느낄 수 없었던 서울의 숨겨진 매력을 알아챌 수 있게 해주었습니다.
이는 우리의 삶을 크게 변화시켰고, 이내 우리는우리가 느낀 ‘러닝’을 더 많은 사람들과 나누고 싶다는 생각을 하게 되었습니다.
두 형제와 사부님의 공유된 경험은 ‘한스트라이드’를 시작하게 된 동력이 되었고, 우리는 러닝으로 변화된 우리의 이야기를 서울의 모습을 통해 모두와
나누고자 합니다. ‘한스트라이드’는 단순한 러닝클럽 - 러닝투어를 넘어, 모두의 이야기가 모여 새로운 발견과 경험을 만들어가는 플랫폼 입니다.
